At the rate images of the upcoming Samsung Gear Fit 2 are leaking out, the South Korean company will have little to reveal when the official announcement finally happens. The latest images, provided by Evan Blass (formerly known as @evleaks) have given us a good look at the upcoming wearable in at least three different colours: Black, Purple and Blue.
The new images also give us a glimpse at the user interface the new wearable will use. In this case, information such as steps taken and calories burned will be presented in colourful and diagonally laid out stripes.
Previous rumours have suggested that the biggest change to come with with the Gear Fit 2 over the original Gear Fit will be the addition of a GPS chipset for better location tracking. As we have seen from these renders and previously leaked images, the overall design itself appears largely unchanged, including the narrow rectangular 1.84-inch AMOLED display.
While we now have a good idea what the Gear Fit 2 looks like, it is still not clear when Samsung will announce it. It will likely be accompanied by the Samsung Gear IconX wireless ear buds which have also leaked a few times now.
