The Samsung Gear Fit 2 has already been the topic of a number of leaks, including one on Samsung’s own website when the image popped up briefly. It has surfaced again today courtesy of leaked promotional images obtained by Tizen Cafe.
These latest images reveal little that is new. They corroborate past leaks, including the one that revealed that the Fit 2 would come in a range of colours. We do get a better sense of the user interface and features that will be supported.
Pulling together all of the leaked information to date gives us a good idea of the Gear Fit 2’s specifications. It is expected to be the first Samsung wearable to use the company’s new Bio-Processor. It should also come with a 1.84-inch AMOLED display, built-in GPS (which the original Gear Fit did not have), 4GB of internal memory and a heart rate sensor. The Gear Fit 2 also appears to be sleeker than its predecessor with the display being flush with the rubberized band rather than protruding slightly. It will presumably sync data back to Samsung’s S Health app as well.
The latest leak adds that the Samsung Gear Fit 2 will launch next month. The Samsung Gear IconX wireless earbuds could be announced alongside.
