Leaked images and leaked press shots of the Samsung Gear Fit 2 have already given us a good look at what the upcoming wearable will look like. While we could extrapolate a few specifications from those images, a list of the complete specifications list has not been available until now. The latest rumour has now taken care of that. Here is what we know so far:
- Processor: Samsung dual-core 1GHz
- Operating system: Samsung Tizen 2.3
- Cellular connectivity: None
- Other connectivity: GPS/GLONASS, Bluetooth
- Display: 1.55-inch (216×432) curved Super AMOLED
- RAM: 512MB
- Internal storage: 2GB
- External storage: None
- Sensors: Accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer and heart rate sensor
- Battery: 200mAh
- Colours: Blue, Black, Purple
- Other: IP68 certification
While the Gear Fit 2 will apparently use one of Samsung’s own processor, it’s still not clear whether it will be the company’s new Bio-Processor. It is certainly plausible though.
There is no word yet on pricing and availability. Samsung is expected to unveil the Gear Fit 2, possibly along with the wireless Gear IconX earbuds some time in June so it should not be much longer before we have those details as well.
