Ringly Aries smart bracelet collection unveiled

Ringly AriesRingly jumped into the wearables space early last year with the introduction of a line of smart rings. It today announced it is expanding its portfolio of smart jewelry today with the introduction of the Ringly Aries smart bracelet collection.

Four different gold-plated models with different hand-cut semi-precious stones will be offered. The tourmalated quartz and lapis models are accented with pyramid studs on either side while the rainbow moonstone and labradorite feature crystals instead. The first thousand bracelets sold will also come with a real diamond on the side of the bracelet where the light shines.

Much like Ringly’s smart rings, the new Aries bracelets connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth to deliver a range of notifications using vibration patterns and an LED light capable of five different colours. The Ringly app lets you configure which apps can send you notifications and set up filters so that only notifications from certain people are sent to your Aries bracelet. For example, a call from your spouse can light up in green and vibrate just once. More than 100 apps, including Snapchat, Bumble and Uber, are supported via the Ringly app along with email and text messages.

The battery charges in four hours and should last between 24 and 48 hours.

In response to customer feedback, the new Aries bracelet also supports step counting. The app can use this data to track distance traveled and calories burned.

Pre-orders for the Ringly Aries bracelet began today. It sells for US$195 (about CA$255). Shipments are expected to begin this summer.
