Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra ‘PyeongChang 2018’ Limited Edition Watch

OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra “PyeongChang 2018” Limited EditionThe Winter Olympics are headed to PyeongChang in South Korea in 2018. Omega, which became the first official Olympics timekeeper back in 1932, will reprise their role once more for the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018. While the games are still two years out (albeit with the summer games set for Rio de Janeiro this July), the company kicked off a countdown to the event this week with the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra “PyeongChang 2018” Limited Edition watch.

Inspired by the current Aqua Terra 150M collection, the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra “PyeongChang 2018” Limited Edition watch incorporates a number of Olympic-inspired touches. The words “PyeongChang 2018” are inscribed on the minute track in the five colours of the iconic Olympic Rings. The 20 and 18 numbers of the year align perfectly with the exact minute indexes in “a very unique coincidence that cannot be repeated in our lifetime.”

The 41mm dial itself retains the popular blue colour and “teak concept” pattern that evokes a boat’s wooden decking.

The back features sapphire crystal glass adorned with the official Olympic Rings and logo of the 2018 Olympics. It reveals the watch’s Omega Master Co-Axial 8500 movement. The side of the case opposite to the crown bears the engraved limited edition number.
