A date for the next Apple event is quickly becoming clearer. After reports that Apple was looking at the week of March 14th, 9to5Mac now reports that is now aiming at holding it on Tuesday, March 15th. As for what Apple is planning to unveil, it looks like nothing has really changed from what previous rumours suggested.
Apple is set to announce new products in three major categories. The Apple iPhone 5s will make way for the iPhone 5se, another 4-inch model that will includes upgrades such as an A9 chip, improved front and rear cameras and support for Apple Pay. The aging Apple iPad 2 which launhched in late 2014 will make way for the iPad 3 with a faster processor, improved speakers, a new Smart Connector like the one found on the new iPad Pro and possibly a rear-LED flash.
As for the Apple Watch, we can expect to see new choices for bands and a new version of watchOS (likely version 2.2 already in beta). The new bands will reportedly include new colours for the Sports and Hermès bands and a black version of the Milanese Loop band. A new line of NATO-style nylon bands also appears to be in the cards.
With about six weeks to go, the report warns that the date for the next Apple event could still change. It is also possible that it could move to being solely an online announcement.
