Three new IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Editions with new 69370 calibre

IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Edition “74th Members’ Meeting at Goodwood” While the horological world convened at Baselworld 2016, IWC Schaffhausen headed off to the 74th Goodwood Members’ Meeting, a famed racing event, where it unveiled three new models in its Ingenieur watch collection commemorating the event. The IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Edition “74th Members’ Meeting at Goodwood” and the Ingenieur Chronograph Editions “Rudolf Caracciola” and “W 125” will all be powered by the new IWC 69370 calibre.

“The eye-catching vintage character of the new models adds some unexpected highlights to the design and takes the Ingenieur into the golden age of classical motorsport. Inside the case, the elegant, sporty timepieces feature the new in-house 69370 calibre, a significant watchmaking innovation in its own right,” says Georges Kern, CEO of IWCSchaffhausen.

All three models sport a different look from the IWC Ingenieur timepieces sporting a Gerald Genta-designed case. Gone are elements like bezel screws, crown protectors and more angular lines in favour of a simpler design inspired by the racing machines of yore.

The IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Edition “74th Members’ Meeting at Goodwood” will be limited to 74 pieces. It features a solid red gold case measuring 42 millimetres in diameter. The black dial, inspired by the dashboard of a vintage sports car, sports two totalizers, small seconds and a tachymeter scale running round the outer edge. It is paired with a brown calfskin strap.
