Haier, a Chinese company probably better known for its growing presence in the appliance market, is coming to Mobile World Congress to unveil new wearables. It plans to launch a new multi-function smartwatch called the HaierWatch alongside a range of activity trackers called H-Band.
The HaierWatch is billed as a smartwatch with “a sophisticated design with multiple functionalities.” From the few details we have, it appears that it will be a “smarter watch” with an analog display and fitness tracking capabilities. At least two styles could be unveiled.
The Haier H-Band will be a hybrid fitness tracker that will work as both a bracelet and Bluetooth headset. It will come in a range of colours. In fact, it looks very similar to the Huawei TalkBand B2.
Haier also announced plans to unveil new smartphones under the Voyage line. These will be geared at the European market. It appears at this point that we may not see them in North America.
We’ll bring you all the details once Haier makes its MWC 2016 announcement.
