Captain Phasma, the commander of the First Order’s Stormtrooper army, may have had a smaller role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens than many would have liked. She was nonetheless a memorable character partly because of her cool chromium armor. If you are among her fans, you may want to strap the Memorigin Star Wars Captain Phasma Tourbillon Watch to your wrist.
Hong Kong’s Memorigin, a company that only makes tourbillon watches, has partnered with Lucasfilm and Mark Lui, a designer and pop music composer, for this limited edition timepiece.
Captain Phasma’s helmet is embossed on the dial with a tourbillon at the 6 o’clock mark. A glimpse of the movement can be caught through the cutout where the black portions of the helmet normally are. Black 12 black diamonds are embedded on the dial as the hour markers.
The contrast among black, red and white perfectly form the classic Star Wars impression. The tourbillon’s polishing, assembly and quality control is overseen by master watchmakers and their teams to ensure the “perfection of art”.
