The evidence continues to mount that the upcoming ASUS ZenWatch 3 will drop its predecessors’ rectangular display in favour of a round one. An FCC label illustration discovered last week clearly shows a round case design. A confidentiality request kept the FCC from posting any photos but some showed up briefly on China’s National Communications Commission website presumably by mistake. They were available long enough for Taiwan’s ePrice to post copies (but later pulled down as well).
The pictures also confirm that the ASUS ZenWatch 3 will come with a stainless steel case with a two-tone bronze finish. Three buttons are visible on the site as well as two small contacts for the charging dock on the caseback. The lugs point downwards quite sharply and appear to be of a proprietary design. The images also show that it will come with a leather strap (likely as one option) and a donut-shaped charger.
ASUS is widely expected to unveil the ZenWatch 3 at IFA 2016 which runs from September 2nd to the 7th.
