Huawei today unveiled the latest generation of its TalkBand wearable. The Huawei TalkBand B3 improves upon its predecessor, the TalkBand B2, in a number of ways while remaining a hybrid device that can work as both a fitness tracker and a Bluetooth headset.
Huawei is offering the TalkBand B3 in a greater range of finishes. In all, three different lines, the Active, Classic and Elite, will be offered. All three come with a stainless steel frame and the same features and specifications; they vary only in the finishing materials. Strap options now include rubbber, leather and metal.
Huawei has also made a few hardware improvements. Battery life has been improved and now offers up to 6 hours of calling and up to 4 days of as a fitness tracker. When used as a Bluetooth earpiece, volume has been increased by 25% greater volume and anti-wind noise cancellation has also been improved.
Like the TalkBand B2, the new TalkBand B3 supports a range of activity tracking, including walking, running, cycling and hill climbing, as well as caloric burn information. It can also monitor your sleeping patterns, provide notification alerts and weather updates, answer, reject or end incoming calls and help you find your phone.

The price of the Huawei TalkBand B3 will vary by model. The Active models will sell for €169 (about US$190 or CA$250), the Classic for €199 (about US$225 or CA$300) and the Elite for €249 (about US$280 or CA$370). Huawei did not today provide any information on when it will go on sale.
