Google today a new website for its upcoming Google I/O 2016 developer conference. As already announced, it will take place from May 18th to May 20th at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California, the same place as the very first Google I/O event. Registration will begin on March 8th.
As it has done in the past, Google will allow people to submit a registration application between March 8th at 0900 PT (1200 ET) and March 10th at 1700 PT (2000 ET). Once the registration period ends, Google will randomly select applicants from qualified applications and notify those selected via email.
Those not selected will still get a chance to “be part of the magic” as Google will once again live stream the keynote and many other sessions.
A formal schedule has yet to be announced but Google promises three days of sessions, hands on experience in the sandbox and code labs, office hours and more.
Like last year, general admission tickets will cost US$900. Academic admission tickets will be available for US$300.
