Christopher Ward, a British luxury watch company founded in 2004, has unveiled an updated brand along with two new Christopher Ward C65 Trident watches. The new brand extends not only watches but also a redesigned logo and website. It also encompasses a change in their design philosophy with a greater focus on original designs to give Christopher Ward watches a more distinctive and easily recognizable look.
The new logo spells out the Christopher Ward name in full in a sans-serif font that is both clean and modern-looking. It will be positioned at the 9 o’clock mark on new watch models, starting with the C65 Trident with Classic and Vintage variants. The case-back has also received an update and now features a deep-stamped version of the company’s trident motif (which also appears on the counter-balance of the second hand).
The first timepiece to carry our new logo, here dress watch meets sports watch in a model that’s both smart and casual. If you want a watch that looks as good with a tuxedo as it does with a polo shirt (perhaps you’re a well known British secret agent), your prayers have just been answered.
As for the new watches themselves, the Christopher Ward C65 Trident Classic Mk II builds on the original with a new dial and new hand design. On the other hand, the Vintage variant is a completely new model.

The Christopher Ward C65 Trident Vintage is a throwback to the 60s and 70s when “the cool guys wore black polo-neck jumpers, drove sports cars (or at least Ford Capris) and charmed women with a twitch of their eyebrows.” Smaller than the Classic Mk II, it is also somewhat thicker because of the “glass box” sapphire crystal.
The dial design of the C65 Trident Vintage is similar to that of the Classic Mk II but it only comes in black with sand-coloured markers and hands. It also uses “Old Radium” luminescent paint on the dial and hands.
Christopher Ward C65 Trident Vintage Edition specifications:

Both C65 Trident models are set to go on sale in mid-June but can be pre-ordered now. The C65 Trident Classic Mk II sells for US$690 with leather strap and US$770 with bracelet. The C65 Trident Vintage sells for US$750 with leather band and US$820 with bracelet.
The new logo will gradually be introduced to more watches over time.
