The Alcatel GO WATCH smartwatch was unveiled last September at IFA 2015. Designed as a companion device to the GO PLAY smartphone, it is geared at active users. Alcatel informed us via email that it is now on sale in both Canada and the U.S. It works with both Android and iOS devices.

The GO WATCH offers the usual array of notifications from incoming messages and social media. It also comes with the rather unique (and gimmicky?) ability to measure your emotions. An emotion pulse measurement creates a “fun graphic” using data from the gyroscope, heart rate sensor and accelerometer. It can be set as your wallpaper or shared on social media.
The Alcatel GO WATCH smartwatch is easily customizeable. Along with the interchangeable straps, front castings allow you to change the case colour to match or complement the strap. Along with black and white options is a lime green and blue option.
The Alcatel GO WATCH smartwatch is now available directly from Alcatel in both Canada and the U.S. It sells for US$99.99 (about CA$140 before shipping and duty fees). Additional bands and castings can also be purchased for US$34.99 (about CA$50).
