3Plus USA, an American company that already offers a number of smart wearable devices, is bringing a new collection of wearables to CES 2016. The company will unveil a total of four new connected devices next week, including two smartwatches.
“Today, a wristwatch is more than just a means to know what time it is and the day’s date,” remarked Jerry Galya, 3Plus vice president of sales. “Digital technology has taken wristwatches in a whole new direction and 3Plus is right at the forefront with many innovative technologies. Our newest wearables are available at a variety of affordable price points depending on what features you are interested in. From the most basic smartphone notifications and fitness tracking, to advanced heart rate monitoring and call answering, 3Plus offers it all.”
The 3Plus Time smartwatch (pictured above) takes a traditional round-faced timepiece and gives it new digital capabilities. The dial looks like that of a normal watch except for the OLED display near the 6 o’clock mark. It will display text, call and other smartphone notifications. The 3Plus Time can also track steps taken, calories burned, distance traveled, duration of sleep, and deep-sleep time. It will sell for US$159.99 with a leather band and US$179.99 with a stainless steel bracelet.
The 3Plus Touch is a square-faced smartwatch. It will sport an OLED touchscreen display that will show the time and date and smartphone notifications including the name or number of incoming calls. It will also provide activity tracking including steps taken, calories burned, distance traveled, heart rate, quality of sleep, and sleep cycles. Its alarm system can be used to remind you to take your medication. It will also come with a built-in microphone for direct answering and a battery promising up to two weeks of standby time. The 3Plus Touch will sell for US$119.99.
The 3Plus Swipe HR is billed as a life tracker. It will sport a 1.1-inch touchscreen display and offer the same tracking capabilities as the new 3Plus smartwatches. It will also offer a heart-rate range alert and automatic data sync to your smartphone to provide real-time access on a mobile app and notifications on your wrist. The 3Plus Swipe HR will sell for US$99.99.
The 3Plus Lite fitness tracker will also track everything from steps taken, calories burned and distance traveled to duration of sleep and sleep cycles. It will have an OLED display of unspecified size and will be IP67-rated. It will sell for US$39.99.
All four devices will be compatible with both Android and iOS.
Exact availability should be announced at CES 2016.
