The Withings Activité Pop was one of the highlights at CES 2015. Like its more expensive sibling, the Withings Activité, it retains the looks of a traditional watch and incorporates an activity and sleep tracker. At the same time, more expensive materials have made way for a body made of PVD-coated metal and a silicon strap, giving it a more youthful (but still very elegant) look. If you want to be among the first to own it, you can now pre-order it as long as you are in Europe.
Like other smartwatches, it pairs to your smartphone via Bluetooth. The companion app not only provides more details on your activities and goals but also lets you set alarms to have the Activité Pop wake you by vibrating. It also seamlessly syncs the watch time to your watch to always display the correct time, a useful feature when traveling between time zones. Unfortunately, the app is only available for iOS for now but an Android version should be available in late February.
Metrics tracked include a step counter, distance traveled, caloric expenditure and sleep details such as time to fall asleep, duration and sleep cycles. It can detect activities such as walking, running and swimming.
Scheduled to go on sale in February, Withings announced today that the Activité Pop is now available for pre-order in Europe through the company’s website. All three colours, Bright Azure, Shark Gray, and Wild Sand are available. It sells for €149.95.
The Withings Activité Pop will also be available in the U.S. where it will sell through Best Buy.
