If you’ve been eyeing either the Withings Activité or the just unveiled Activité Pop smartwatch but were held back by the the lack of smartwatch support on the Withings Health Mate app, we have some good news for you. Withings will update its Android app to add Activité support by the end of the month.
“We now have a pretty similar experience of Withings Health Mate on Android, and Activité support will be on the Android version of the app by the end of the month,” said Withings CEO Cedric Hutchings to Trusted Reviews at CES 2015. “The Android Activité support is just a few weeks behind in terms of updates.” In fact, the Withings team is already using the Android version internally.
The app recently got a Material design recently and already works with a range of Android phones (as well as other Withings products).

Despite some very different price points, both the Withings Activité and Activité Pop come with fitness and sleeping habit monitoring. They differ primarily in the finishing materials used. The Activité comes with a Swiss watch movement, a sapphire glass crystal and a leather band whereas the Activité Pop makes use of cheaper internals, a mineral glass crystal and a silicon strap.
