Vector Watch unveiled its first smartwatches back at Baselworld 2015 in March. The Vector Luna and Vector Meridian both offer up to 30 days of battery life thanks to their monochrome displays and custom operating systems. The company is now inviting designers to come up with a new watch face in their Vector Watch Faces Competition.
Challenge your creativity by designing new time telling faces for Vector Watch. Make it analog, digital or a new & intuitive expression of time.
Entries must be submitted before January 17th, 2016 at 23:59 UK time. Judging will begin the next day. Three categories, creativity, relevance and intuitiveness, will be used to rate the entries. Peter Aschwanden, a Swiss-born international executive, Steve Jarvis, a designer, and Angus Jenkins, an ecommerce consultant, will be the judges. Judging will take place on January 18th with winners being announced on January 19th.
The top ten finalists will reach receive a Vector Meridian Watch and their designs will be published on the Vector in-app store. The overall winner will be awarded a Vector Watch of their choosing and their design will also be published to the Vector in-app store.
The Vector Meridian with a black nylon strap currently sells for US$249 (about CA$345) while the Vector Luna with either a black nylon or brown leather strap sells for US$349 (about CA$480).
