It’s been quiet on the Samsung Gear A smartwatch rumour front for a few weeks. Fortunately, SamMobile, which has revealed quite a few details about Samsung’s upcoming circular smartwatch is back today with what appears to be one of the watch faces for the Gear A (also known as the Samsung Orbis).

The image reveals little about the watch itself but does confirm (assuming it is legitimate) that it will come with a round dial and date indicator at the three o’clock mark. As we have seen with other recent round smartwatches, it does not have a black bar that partially obstructs the dial.
As for the Gear A watch face itself, it features a very traditional design with a sharp-looking blue dial background and battery meter with bright green hand on an inner dial.
The Samsung Gear A is expected to be powered by an Exynos processor and the Tizen operating system. Rumoured features include a rotating bezel to control certain functions, wireless charging, gesture controls and possibly even a camera.
At this point, we expect Samsung to unveil the Gear A alongside the Galaxy Note 5 at IFA 2015 in early September.
Update (7/10/2015): And here’s another watchface posted by SamMobile today:
