Motorola took to Twitter earlier this week to give us a hint about new colours and materials coming to Moto Maker. Along with an image of red leather, Motorola teased that it has “a little something in the works.” Unless Motorola is about to jump into the fashion business, it is likely that red leather will soon be a customization option for some of its products.

Motorola already offers leather options both for the Moto 360 smartwatch and the Moto X smartphone. For the former, you can already pick up bands in Stone, Black or Cognac while you can opt for a Stone, Natural, Cognac or Black back option for the latter. A bright red option would certainly offer an eye-catching option for either or both.
There is no word yet on when we could see the Red Leather option make its debut on Moto Maker.
Update (3/30/2015): Motorola today unveiled a red leather option for the Moto X. Sadly, no such option was added for the Moto 360 smartwatch.
