October 8th was World Sight Day. On that day, Omega shone the spotlight on its partner organisation Orbis International, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving sight worldwide, and their their Flying Eye Hospital, a fully equipped mobile teaching ophthalmic hospital. To celebrate the fourth year of the partnership, Omega released “The Hospital in the Sky,” a documentary in which Cindy Crawford visits the flying hospital on a stop in Peru.
OMEGA Brand Ambassador Cindy Crawford was able to witness the work of Orbis International first-hand when she visited the Flying Eye Hospital in Trujillo, Peru. Together with her daughter Kaia, Cindy’s eyes were opened to the remarkable efforts of the professionals involved, as well as the bravery of their patients.
Now, OMEGA is officially releasing the story in a 48 minute documentary called “The Hospital in the Sky”. It is a wonderful account of the many lives touched by Orbis International, narrated by Cindy herself, who gives an emotive insight from her own perspective.
