Olio unveiled its Olio Model One smartwatch back in March. Its Black and Steel collections, each limited to 500 pieces, quickly sold out with the company announcing a sell-out on May 1st. With that first batch set to ship in August, the company is now getting ready for a new announcement. It earlier this week promised via Twitter that a “big reveal” is coming on July 30th.

The company does not reveal what this announcement will be but there is one likely possibility. With the first watches having been sold out for almost three months now and set to ship next month, the company could well announce one more more new collections.
We suspect that those waiting to get their hands on their pre-ordered Olio Model One are hoping instead for some specific shipment details.
Olio Devices received a new round of funding to the tune of US$10.2 million earlier this month. While it did not disclose exactly how it will use the new funds, they could well allow it to offer a greater number of watches in its second round especially as it now knows that there are quite a few interested in its devices.
