The Moto 360, the first round Android Wear smartwatch, has remained a favourite of ours since it launched last year. Coming up on its first year anniversary, rumours have begun to reveal details about its likely successor which should launch later this summer. While this new model has yet to materialize, another price cut today over on the Google Store suggests that the current model’s days are indeed numbered.
Having launched for US$249.99 (CA$279.99), it can now be yours for only US$149.99 (or CA$199.99 in Canada) on the Google Store. And that includes free shipping.
Today’s price cut follows an earlier one in April.

As for the upcoming Moto 360 successor, it is reportedly codenamed Smelt. It is rumoured to come with a completely round display (good-bye black bar!) sporting a higher resolution and a more powerful processor.
Meanwhile, the Sony SmartWatch 3 has completely disappeared from the Canadian Google Store. It remains available on the U.S. side for US$249.99 but you may want to get your your order in if you’ve been thinking about getting one.
