Microsoft is the latest to announce a press event at MWC 2015. The company today began to send out invitations for the event which will take place in Barcelona on March 2nd.
The company invites attendees to “come along for the ride” but does not reveal exactly what it plans to announce. Given that this is the Mobile World Congress, it’s likely that it will unveil new Windows Phone smartphones. Unfortunately, rumours to date suggest that a new flagship device will not be among these. Mid-range and cheaper models are a likelier scenario.
Among these could be a successor to the Nokia Lumia 1320, a 6-inch phablet unveiled back in 2013, and the RM-1072, a cheaper version of the Lumia 830. Could Microsoft also give us an early glimpse at the rumoured ASUS VivoWatch? It’s unlikely but one can still hope!
