LG earlier this week unveiled the LG Watch Urbane, a more fashionable take on its LG G Watch R which is geared at the active user. LG revealed little about launch plans and pricing promising only that its newest smartwatch would make an appearance at MWC 2015. Billed as “its first all-metal luxury Android Wear device,” it’s a near certainty that it will sell for more than the LG G Watch R. An online retailer has now revealed how much more we can expect to pay for it.
Mobile Fun, a UK-based online retailer, has already begun to take pre-orders for the LG Watch Urbane in both gold and silver. While there are no shipping details, its U.S. website lists it for US$368.99 (about CA$460) while its UK site lists it for £290 (about CA$555). The price difference is likely due to the fact that prices in the UK include taxes.
In comparison, the LG G Watch R sells for US$299 (about CA$375) through Google Play in the U.S.
Keep in mind that LG has yet to announce the price of the LG Watch Urbane. The pricing posted by Mobile Fun could be no more than a placeholder until official pricing is unveiled. In other words, a healthy pinch of salt is required at this point in time.
Update: The LG Watch Urbane is now also available for pre-order through Expansys Italy for € 359,99 (about CA$510).
