LG today began to send out press invitations to an event on October 1st in New York City. Aside from date and location, LG provided little else in terms of information though.
Speculation suggests that LG, which unveiled its LG G4 flagship smartphone only months ago, is about to follow it up with a new device known as the V10 which was first revealed by the semi-retired @evleaks. Rumours suggest that it will come with a secondary ticker-like display above the main one. It will reportedly also feature high-end specifications such as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, a 5.7-inch WQHD (2560×1440) main display, 3GB of RAM, a rear fingerprint sensor and more.

Another possibility is that LG could unveil a new smartwatch. Rumours earlier this month suggested that such an announcement was coming by the end of the month. The company may have instead settled on an October 1st date.
The same rumours spoke about a watch with an aesthetic that “isn’t quite like any other smartwatch we’ve seen.” The watch described features a round display but a “more angular and sharp” case than we saw with the LG Watch Urbane and LG G Watch R. It could also sport three buttons.
Here’s hoping that we see this intriguing new smartwatch at this October 1st LG press event. The LG V10 is more than welcome to tag along as well.
