The last time we featured the Qwerkywriter mechanical keyboard for your tablet, it was still a few days away from reaching its Kickstarter goal. Thanks to 469 backers, it not only met its US$90,000 goal but went on to raise US$129,164. Jump forward a few months and it reached the Production prototype stage in late May after a number of small revisions.
With the manufacturing process in full swing, Brian Min, the project’s founder, put together a video to showcase the features of the Qwerkywriter that will soon grace backers’ desks and tables.

The project ran into a few delays and the Qwerkywriter keyboard is now expected to ship about a month later than originally expected. Backers can now expect to receive theirs sometime in the September time frame.
If you missed out on the Kickstarter campaign, the Qwerkywriter can be pre-ordered for US$329 (about CA$400) with an expected shipment date of late September or October.
