It’s been a while we have featured headphones on Concept Sunday. It’s true that headphones don’t lend themselves to a range of concepts but a group of “passionate engineers, designers and thinkers” have come up with one that is headed soon to Kickstarter. The Glow smart headphones were unveiled at CES 2015 earlier this week and are billed as the “world’s first smart headphones that glow with laser light.”
Technology should get out of your way, so you can get on with Learning, Living and Loving.
Wearable Tech should be part of your day-to-day, without altering your natural routine. Glow is useful and Glow is emotive.
We seek to harmonize technology and lifestyle, one beat at a time.
Most striking are the Glow headphones’ glowing cables. Using laser technology and Corning Fibrance, Glow pulsates to the beat of your music with vibrant laser light to make “a vibrant statement.”
But it’s not all show, Glow is also smart. The headphones come with a built-in pulse oximeter heart rate monitor that works with Android Fit to help you visualize your goals and progress against them. A 5-way remote control also lets you control your music, reply to text messages and snap photos without having to use your phone. A built-in microphone lets you make calls as well as give voice commands to either Google Now or Siri.
Needless to say, the Glow smart headphones also promise to deliver great sound. To do so they use a “premium balanced armature driver so you hear all the highs and lows of your music.”
The Glow smart headphones will make their debut on Kickstarter on January 27, 2015.
