Belkin earlier this month unveiled the Belkin Charge Dock for Apple Watch + iPhone. As you can deduce from the name, the new accessory lets you conveniently recharge both your iPhone and Apple Watch simultaneously with a single wire.
“Belkin is proud to introduce a charging solution in which we collaborated with Apple to ensure that the functionality and design aesthetically fit within the Apple ecosystem, while also serving as an elegant stand to display and conveniently store and charge both devices” said Melody Tecson, Director of Product Management at Belkin.
The Belkin Charge Dock for Apple Watch + iPhone promises a “minimalist, sleek appearance with premium finishes.” The base is solid metal finished in silver. It measures 10.93 by 13.4 by 8.8 centimeters.
A metal arm, finished in Chrome, holds the Apple Watch elevated next to your charging iPhone. It uses the same magnetic technology as the Apple Watch charging cable. Magnets ensure that the connectors align automatically, allowing inductive charging to begin immediately.
For the iPhone, the Lightning connector can easily be adjusted up or down to work with a variety of cases.
The Belkin Charge Dock for Apple Watch + iPhone is now available for pre-order directly from Belkin for US$129.99 (about CA$170). It will also be sold exclusively at Apple.com and Apple retail stores.
