National U.S. retailer Target yesterday announced that it is bringing the Apple Watch to its stores. The rollout begins this week with a number of stores offering some 20 different models in both 38mm and 42mm sizes. All stores will carry the Apple Watch range by October 25th, making it even easier to find during the holiday shopping season.
Target is also bringing the Apple Watch to its website. It is expected to launch there on October 18th.
The range of Apple Watches that Target carries range from US$349 to US$599, consisting of both Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch models. You’ll still need to head to your local Apple Store to get your hands on the more expensive Apple Watch Edition though. Additional bands will be sold alongside as well.
It’s not clear if and how Target will let consumers try on the Apple Watch at it stores.
Target is not the first U.S. national retailer to offer the Apple Watch to its customers. Best Buy also does so both in Canada and the U.S.
