We already know that pre-orders for the Apple Watch will begin on April 10th. Apple has now revealed exactly when we will need to be at our computers to submit those pre-orders. Its website now indicates that Apple Watch pre-orders will start sometime “after” 12:01 AM PT (03:01 AM ET). That little word “after” suggests it could be a late night for many (and a tired F5 key).
The pre-order window will be open for two weeks. On April 24th, the Apple Watch will go on sale in 20 countries, including Canada and the U.S. The longer you wait to get your pre-order in (or you’re not fast enough with that F5 key), the likelier it is that the shipment window will be quite long – especially if rumours of production challenges are true.
All three Apple Watch collections will be available for pre-order. The Apple Watch Sport will start at US$349 (CA$449) and the Apple Watch at US$549 (CA$699) for the 38mm models. The 42mm models will cost US$399 (CA$519) and US$599 (CA$779) respectively. Then there is the Apple Watch Edition. Available in limited runs, it will start at US$10,000 (CA$13,000) and top out at US$17,000 (CA$22,000).
Good luck to all looking to place their Apple Watch pre-orders in on April 10th.
