Right on schedule, Apple has begun to ship the first round of Apple Watch pre-orders. While Apple had to backtrack on launching the Apple Watch in stores on April 24th, it appears that those lucky to get their pre-orders in early will soon have their new toys. Customers are now beginning to receive confirmations that their orders have shipped.
There may even be good news for those whose orders show shipping windows in May or June. In a statement to TechCrunch, Apple has confirmed that it is working on improving shipping windows and that many have already been moved up:
We’re happy to be updating many customers today with the news that their Apple Watch will arrive sooner than expected. Our team is working to fill orders as quickly as possible based on the available supply and the order in which they were received. We know many customers are still facing long lead times and we appreciate their patience.
As usual, you will be able to track your order to find out through Apple’s online store when it will appear at your front door.
Online orders appear to be the best way to (quickly) get your hands on an Apple Watch as it is not clear at this point when they will go on sale in Apple Stores.
