Apple will hold its next press event on March 9th. A number of media outlets have been invited to the event simply called ‘Spring forward.” As is so often the case, the event will take place at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco.
As for what is to be announced, Apple revealed little today. With the Apple Watch set to launch in April, it is very likely that the event will focus on its new smartwatch. The ‘Spring Forward’ is also a reference to time, giving further credence to this theory.
When Apple first unveiled the Apple Watch, it promised to reveal more information ahead of the launch. This may well be the occasion to reveal details such as availability, pricing (beyond the US$349 starting price) and give media a closer look at the device itself.
Three Apple Watch collections will be offered. The Apple Watch will be available with either a polished or space black stainless steel case along with a range of straps. The Apple Watch Sport will come with a space gray or silver anodized aluminum case and Sport Band. The Apple Watch Edition will sport an 18-karat rose or yellow gold case and a choice of straps exclusive to this collection. Each will additionally come in two sizes: 42 and 38 millimeters.
