Much like the Cornerford, ANICORN is a watch company that arose from a successful Kickstarter campaign. But you’ll be hard-pressed to find many similarities in the watches that the two companies offer. The ANICORN Series 000 uses a rather unique concentric disc system to display the time without the need for the usual hands.
The Series 000 offers a fresh take on traditional elegance for a unified, contemporary aesthetic. Perfectly balanced in design and function, the unique concentric disc system present the time with our Swiss custom made typeface under the flat sapphire crystal.
The time is shown in three independent concentric discs. Two are graduated for hours and minutes while seconds are displayed with a coloured circle notched at each cardinal point. Time is read by simply by reading downwards at the twelve o’clock mark.
The watch face only shows the top two thirds of the full circular dial. The rest is hidden away behind a matte mask. The case and strap feature an equally stark aesthetic. It all makes for a rather interesting design that is bound to start more than one conversation.
