With about 700,000 subscribers, WIND Mobile has established a toe hold in the Canadian wireless market. It’s now looking for more and its latest marketing campaign is aimed at two of its closest rivals. The new promotion urges Mobilicity and Public Mobile customers to port over to WIND Mobile for “true mobile freedom.” It comes as Mobilicity is tries once again to gain approval to be acquired by TELUS (this being its third attempt) while Public Mobile has already been swallowed up by TELUS with nary a whimper.
So what is WIND Mobile offering up? Its new promotion comes with:
- A free SIM card
- One month of free service
- The choice of keeping your phone and getting up to CA$500 in service credits or upgrading your phone with up to CA$500 on WINDtab and getting service credits by trading your old phone in
The promotion runs from today until May 11 and applies to any of WIND Mobile’s new plans, ranging from its WIND 25 plan up to its new WIND 60 plan and even including the promotional WIND 39 plan.
Any takers out there? Let us know below if you plan on switching.
