Our prediction was off by a few days but the Sony Xperia Z2 is now available at Bell Mobility, its exclusive Canadian carrier. As is so often the case, the carrier has bundled a number of additional apps with it, including its Bell TV app which offers 35 channels (or over 100 if you have Bell TV service at home). It also comes with the late Michael Jackson’s new album, Xscape. Sony is also throwing in six free movies through the Sony Video Unlimited Service , a 30-day trial of the Music Unlimited service and eight PlayStationMobile games.

We were impressed by the Sony Xperia Z2 during our short time with it. It has addressed many of the shortcomings of the Xperia Z1 and is a worthy competitor to other current flagship smartphones.
Bell is offering the Sony Xperia Z2 for CA$179.95 with a two-year contract or CA$699.95 on a monthly term. While Bell will be the exclusive Canadian carrier, Sony will offer an unlocked version of the Xperia Z2 through its stores. It is now available for pre-order.
