Sony Mobile announced plans to upgrade its “entire premium Z series” line of devices to Android 5.0 Lollipop back in October. Without providing specific timelines, the company indicated that the updates would begin rolling out in early 2015. Sony yesterday reconfirmed via Twitter that timelines have not changed.
As already announced, the update will first hit the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z2 devices. Upgrades for other devices in Sony’s “entire premium Z series” will follow afterwards.
We’ll start the upgrade at beginning of 2015 for the Xperia Z3 and Z2 series, continuing for all remaining Z series. @billyhassan123
