We learned that Sony was readying a new series of ” Z4 Phones” thanks to the Sony hack that resulted in the leak of a wealth of information. The company then released a teaser promising a New World and hinting at a new ultra-thin device. We speculated that Sony might be readying a new Xperia Z4 Ultra phablet. A new leak suggests that this new device could be a larger 13-inch tablet to launch as the Xperia Z4 Tablet Ultra.
China’s Padnews has obtained what could be both an image and the specifications of this new Xperia Z4 Tablet Ultra. Should this turn out to be legitimate, this would be quite an impressive device.

Sadly, such specifications lend themselves more to someone’s dream device than an actual forthcoming device. Should Sony pull it off, this impressive device is likely to come with a premium price that will put it out of reach for most.
At this point, Sony’s Xperia Z4 lineup could include not only the Xperia Z4 flagship smartphone but also a Z4 Compact, a Z4 Ultra phablet and this Z4 Tablet Ultra. Quite a lineup for a company that is looking to reduce its overall mobile device portfolio next year.
With CES 2015 just weeks away, we could soon find out whether Sony’s new Xperia Z4 lineup will indeed come with this 13-inch Xperia Z4 Tablet Ultra. For now though, we’ll keep this one squarely in the categories of rumours to take with a healthy pinch of salt.
