Sony today teased via Twitter that you will “see your #selfies in a whole new light” tomorrow. The teaser suggests that Sony will unveil a new Xperia smartphone that will improve the quality of selfies in low-light conditions thanks to the “new light” that a front-facing flash would provide.

Not long after the teaser appeared, details began to emerge about the upcoming Sony Xperia C3. A number of images surfaced on China’s Weibo microblogging website. A number show an LED flash next to the front camera. Another reveals that it will come with a 2,500mAh battery. You can also see that it will come in a cyan colour with other colours likely as well. It also appears to sport a fairly large display. Unfortunately, it appears that we’ll need to wait until tomorrow to learn more about the exact specifications.
A video also quickly appeared to show that it will be possible to simply double-tap the back of the Sony Xperia C3 to take selfies. It also looks like there will be plenty of retouching and effect options and a voice-guided mode to take pictures with the rear camera.
