Following a tweet that Samsung’s next Windows Phone smartphone was codenamed Huron and headed to Verizon, @evleaks has also provided a press render of the SM-W750V. As he had suggested, the Huron has a more than passing resemblance to the Galaxy S4.
The SM-W750V has also surfaced on the Gfxbench website. The site reconfirms it is a Windows Phone device and adds that it will come with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with an Adreno 305 GPU. While the processor is not mentioned, the GPU suggests that it could be a mid-range Snapdragon 400.
While System details list the display as an HD (720×1280) one, the tests themselves reveal that it will come with a Full HD (1080×1920) as previous rumours have suggested.
There is still no word on when Samsung could announce the SM-W750V. Could it do so at its upcoming Unpacked5 event on February 24? Given that it’s headed to Verizon, it may well be that Verizon will hold the event instead.
