Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) tablet at IFA 2013. While IFA 2014 came and went without the announcements of a successor, it now appears that Samsung will indeed launch a new model. References to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2015) have appeared on Samsung’s own site on a page for its Galaxy 11 Shooting Soccer game. It is listed as one of the devices which is compatible with the game.
As GSMArena points out, there is little chance that this is a typo as the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) itself is also mentioned. It’s also quite likely that Samsung will refresh its Galaxy Note tablet lineup and keep the 10.1-inch model. At the same time, we cannot rule out this this is but a cut-and-paste type of error.
The page, in Portuguese, reveals little about the device itself. The new model will again sport a 10.1-inch display but it remains to be seen what hardware upgrades Samsung will give its new tablet. Among the upgrades will likely be improvements to the S Pen (similar to what we saw with the Galaxy Note 4) and a few hardware bumps.
There is no word on when Samsung will announce the Galaxy Note 10.1 or when it will launch although early next year seems like a pretty safe bet at this point.
