After years of promises and delays, Tizen devices finally made it to market earlier this year. Instead of the expected smartphones, they did so in the form of smartwatches, namely the Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo. But Samsung has once again promised to have Tizen-powered smartphones out this year.
It turns out that they may have four such devices in the works. According to the usually reliable @evleaks, four different models, the SM-Z500, SM-Z700, SM-Z900 and SM-Z910, are currently being developed. The numbering indicates that Samsung is looking to hit different price points with these devices.

There is little to go on at this point on any of these devices. If nothing else, we now have four new models numbers to keep an eye out for. In fact, SM-Z910 has already appeared on India’s Zauba shipment tracking database as the SM-Z910F. The only detail revealed is that this smartphone model will come with a 4.8-inch display. While unit pricing, it ranges quite a bit across shipments from INR13,755 (about CA$250) to INR33,802 (about CA$615).
Should Tizen-powered Samsung smartphones launch this year, don’t expect to see them in North America. The company has gone on record saying that they will not launch in the U.S. Instead, they will likely be aimed at emerging markets.
