Evidence that the Samsung Galaxy S5 is indeed real continues to surface. Following reports revealing a photo (seen above) and specifications last week, SamMobile has obtained additional details including further details about specifications and an alternate set of benchmark results.
Rumoured Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom (SM-C115) specifications:
- Processor: Hexa-core Samsung Exynos 5260 (2 × 1.7GHz + 4 × 1.3GHz)
- Operating system: Google Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Samsung TouchWiz
- Other connectivity: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, DLNA, NFC
- Display: 4.8-inch HD (720×1280) AMOLED
- RAM: 2GB
- External storage: MicroSD cards
- Rear-facing camera: 20.2MP with OIS, Xenon flash and 10x optical zoom
- Front-facing camera: 2.1MP
These details line up quite well with what we saw last week. Missing here is the internal storage capacity which was listed but not clearly on the earlier benchmarks.
On the benchmark side of things, the latest AnTuTu results reveal that the Galaxy S5 Zoom is a faster device than either the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One (M7) which came with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600. No big surprise and final scores may be even better once software is finalized.
There is still no word on when Samsung could unveil the Galaxy S5 Zoom but the increasing frequency of leaks and rumours suggests it will not be much longer.
