Rumours have for a while now suggested that Samsung would, much as it did with the Galaxy S4 last year, release a number of variants of its Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone. These could include the Galaxy S5 mini, the Galaxy S5 Active and the Galaxy S5 Zoom. The latter may already been spotted on the GFXBench website as the Samsung SM-C115. Now an alleged photo of the Galaxy S5 Zoom has surfaced.
Referred to as the Galaxy K Zoom by the source of the image, the image reveals little. We can see the same faux-leather back that Samsung uses on the Galaxy Note 3 and its Galaxy TabPRO and NotePRO tablets. The lens assembly also appears not to protrude as much as it did on the Galaxy S4 Zoom, leading to what could be a slimmer device.
There are no details on specifications but the earlier benchmarks suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom would come with a 1.3GHz hexa-core Samsung Exynos 5 Hexa processor, Google Android 4.4.2 KitKat, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bleutooth, NFC, a 4.8-inch HD (720×1280) display, 2GB, a 20.1MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. The rear camera will come with a 10x optical zoom and a Xenon flash.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom could launch as early as May.
