Samsung Canada today confirmed that the Galaxy S5 will launch in Canada on April 11 along with its Gear smartwatches and Gear Fit fitness wristband. Rogers Wireless was among the first carriers to announce that it would carry (and take reservations for) Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone.
Our friends at Rogers today let us know via email of a Samsung Galaxy S5 promotion for those who buy through their reservation system. Available to the first 10,000 customers to make a purchase (not just a reservation), the offer consists of the following:
- A CA$50 credit on a virtual Rogers Prepaid MasterCard in your suretap wallet, ready to spend however you want
- 2,000 bonus points for customers already enrolled in the Rogers First Rewards loyalty program
If you have your mind already set on the Samsung Galaxy S5 and are a Rogers customer, the offer is definitely a nice extra.
Rogers also announced pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S5. It will start at CA$249.99 with a two-year contract. Rogers will also offer the Samsung Gear 2 for CA$329.99 and the Samsung Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit for CA$219.99 each.
Rogers will be the exclusive Canadian carrier for the Samsung Gear 2 Neo as well.
