It already appears that Samsung will have two variants of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. One will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 and another with a Samsung Exynos 5433 processor. Now comes word via The Korea Times that Samsung is planning some more significant differences. The company will offer the Galaxy Note 4 in two very different display configurations.
According to an unnamed executive for a Samsung partner company, one of the Galaxy Note 4 will come with a flat display (like previous Note models) while a second will sport a curved display model. It’s not clear though if it will be curved like the Samsung Galaxy Round or wrap around the sides as past rumours have hinted. The flat-display version will be available globally while the curved one will be aimed at “niche markets.” This suggests that Samsung may use the same strategy as it did with last year’s Galaxy Round smartphone which launched only in Korea.
Recent rumours have suggested that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will come with a 2.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, a 5.7-inch WQHD (2560×1440). It will also sport a 16MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera and an array of sensors including a new UV sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is expected to be unveiled at IFA 2014. It could be announced alongside the new Galaxy F smartphone, wearable devices, curved UHD TVs and expanded smart home services.
