August 4 came and went without any Galaxy Alpha announcement. Rumours now instead suggest an August 13 announcement. In the meantime, new details have emerged about the device once rumoured to be a premium version of the Galaxy S5.
New images show the device in white as well as next to the Apple iPhone while new specification details have been provided by UK retailer Mobilefun which briefly listed a product page for the upcoming handset.
Here are the details revealed by Mobilefun before it pulled down its pre-order page:

Mobilefun listed the Samsung Galaxy Alpha at £549 before it pulled the page down. Availability and pricing details remain a mystery at this point in time.
