Samsung’s next Windows Phone smartphone has been the topic of a number of rumours already. A press render of the upcoming device has now been revealed by the usually reliable @evleaks along with what could be its official name. Called the Samsunt ATIV SE, the branding on the new image effectively confirms that it is bound for Verizon Wireless. It is almost certainly the device we have known so far as the Samsung SM-W750V and by its codename Huron.
As we saw from prior images, the Samsung ATIV SE shares much in terms of looks with the Samsung Galaxy S4. There are some small changes but key controls are in familiar places.
No details are provided about specifications but past rumours have suggested that the Samsung ATIV SE will come with a a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (possibly a Snapdragon 400), a 5-inch Full HD (1080×1920) display and 2GB of RAM. It is likely to come with Windows Phone 8.1.
The Samsung ATIV SE will likely replace the aging Samsung ATIV S which was unveiled back at IFA 2012. A launch is likely to come sometime in the spring following Microsoft’s formal Windows Phone 8.1 announcement.
