As expected, Samsung today unveiled its latest smartphone. With its 10x optical zoom camera, the Samsung Galaxy K zoom is billed as camera specialized smartphone “that blends advanced digital camera technology with Samsung’s industry-leading Galaxy experience.” As a teaser hinted earlier, the Galaxy K zoom’s camera comes with a retracting lens. A new rectracting technology allowed Samsung to make the Galaxy K zoom much thinner than its predecessor, the Galaxy S4 Zoom.

As you would expect from a camera specializes smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy K zoom comes with a number of camera-focused features such as AF/AE Separation (Auto Focus/ Auto Exposure Separation), an enhanced Pro Suggest mode with 5 optimized filter settings, a Selfie Alarm that allows users to take timed selfies with ease, and object tracing to make it easier to focus on a moving subject.
The Samsung Galaxy K zoom will be available starting in May. Pricing was not announced.
