Qualcomm this week announced that it’s reducing the price on its Qualcomm Toq smartwatch. Originally priced at US$349.99 when it launched in December, it is now available for US$249.99.

As with many other smartwatches, reviews of the Qualcomm Toq have been mixed. The price reduction is likely meant to spur sales of a device that was to have been limited to “tens of thousands” of units.
The Qualcomm Toq comes with a 200MHz Cortex M3 processor, a low-power always-on Mirasol display, wireless charging using Qualcomm’s WiPower LE technology and Bluetooth Audio.
HTC reportedly recently licensed the Qualcomm Toq as the basis for a smartwatch of its own.
